Q- How does EFT work?
EFT ( Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a key essential of a therapist’s toolbox. It based on the subtle energy system of acupuncture meridians that was discovered by the Chinese about 5,000 years ago.
When energy gets stuck or disrupts our inner peace, we experience its effects: unease, discomfort and pain. With physical tapping at the specific acupuncture points along our energy meridians where the energy block is, EFT “taps” into our energy system to help balance it and restore the flow to keep it running smoothly.
it is not the physical tapping itself that releases the stuck energy, but the attention and intention of the mind that is being activated during the EFT tapping routine.
Once the past thought, sight, sound, smell and/or feeling triggers the amygdala, a part of the brain that identifies the treat, the amygdala sends impulses to the autonomic nervous system for protection. This elicit ‘the fight, flight or freeze response’. It is the primitive part of the brain that controls emotions. The amygdala is also responsible for processing stressful events in our lives and turning them into memories. Most people are not aware of what triggers them in the first place.
The Energy interventions (stimulating acupoints) interrupt the above sequence to overcome caused psychological issues. The meridian system has at least 360 acupoints which is called window in to the body’s energy system because of their lower electrical resistance. This windows into the body’s energy system is used for restoring physical and mental health. Acupressure points appeared to send vibrations along the meridians directly to the amygdala, which actually turned down the fear response, rather like a dimmer switch. The Chinese doctors have been using these for 5000 years.
Once we selected the issue or memory to work on, the client rate it on a scale of 0 (no distress) to 10 (extreme distress), based on the amount of discomfort that they experience when they think about it. This would be our benchmark against the progress. We work on the issue, until the emotional change/grip on client have gone.
Psychological reversals can cause your efforts produce the opposite result of your intention. All psychological reversals need to be addressed to ensure a deep and lasting effect.
Q: How does NLP work?
A: NLP therapy can be viewed as cleaning out old brain software that is no longer serving us. Then, most importantly, the old is replaced with the new, which will get you what you really need.
NLP is becoming increasingly mainstream thanks in part to the television series of Darren Brown and Paul McKenna. NLP has been described as the next generation of psychology.
Q: What is the difference between other therapies and NLP?
A: Experience shows that NLP Therapy tends to be fast, typically resolving issues in several brief sessions, which, of course, makes it very cost effective and much cheaper than traditional therapies. Also, NLP uses physiology and the unconscious mind to change thought processes and therefore behavior. Traditional Freudian psychology and psychotherapy require a large commitment of time as the client tries to uncover unconscious processes which determine conscious behavior.
Counseling is a shorter process, usually undirected by a counselor, who facilitates the client in exploring feelings and behaviour around a specific issue such as bereavement. Cognitive behavioural therapy is task-centered work which identifies problem behaviour and how the mind thinks about it and therefore behaves in its regard. Cognitive behaviour therapy aims to alter beliefs and thought processes, thus influencing the client’s behaviour towards a positive state.
Q: What is the history of NLP?
A: NLP began in the early 70’s as a thesis project in Santa Cruz, California. Richard Bandler and his professor, John Grinder, wanted to develop models of human behaviour to understand why certain people seemed to be excellent at what they did, while others found the same tasks challenging or nearly impossible to carry out.
Q: What is Cord Cutting?
A: Cord cutting is the cutting away of energy cords that connect you with someone else with whom you have a relationship, including family members, friends, husbands, and acquaintances and who in some way are harmful or unhealthy. Energy flows back and forth between you and another person which may be negative and contribute to a unique set of difficulties for your energy system.
When you are corded in an unhealthy way, these bonds can negatively impact all aspects of your life. For example, your behaviour may be influenced or controlled by a person to whom you are negatively bonded. You may be easily manipulated, feel stuck, depressed, have low energy levels or simply feel bad in the other person’s presence. You feel like your energy has been drained for no apparent reason.
In such a case, it is important to remove the cords to improve your emotional, spiritual and physical well-being. Cord cutting is not painful. In fact, it’s quite freeing. The release can sometimes let go of anger, sadness, or other strong emotions that may be attached to the cords. Oftentimes, you will feel lighter and more at peace.
The majority of cord cuttings facilitated are between couples or blood relatives, like a parent and child. You receive a fresh start with more opportunity than ever before to design the kind of relationship you desire. Any time you hear people talk about “the pain that will be with me for the rest of my life,” there is probably a cord of attachment involved. Until that cord is cut, the pain will continue to hurt.
Q: What is Past Life Regression?
A: Past Life Regression is a means of allowing us to deal with past issues and also those within this life. We often hold onto the pain and trauma we underwent centuries ago; and when we recognise the true cause of this pain, we can release it and gain a great sense of relief and freedom.
Through past-life regression, Dr. Brian Weiss says that it is possible to heal—and grow—your mind, body, and soul, as well as strengthen present-day relationships. He says that one of the most common signs of a past life is déjà vu—the sensation of having met a person before or having visited a place previously. Sometimes, this déjà vu feeling pertains to a particular person or specific place.
For example, a patient of Dr. Weiss began experiencing anxiety attacks while on her honeymoon in Greece. When she and her husband left for Rome, the attacks completely disappeared. When she saw Dr Weiss, together they did a past life regression and found that she had been killed in ancient Greece. Her anxiety attacks stemmed from events in that lifetime even though she did not understand why at the time.
With the help of a skilled practitioner, the client can uncover latent information stored in the subconscious mind that may be causing serious emotional as well as physiological problems, including illness and disease. The connection could well lie in a past life.
Past Life Regression is never something to fear. However, it is very important that the therapist understand how to conduct the regression so that the person experiencing it can get the most benefit and understanding from the session, enabling him or her to really move forward in this life.
The session duration is one and a half hours. Does it always work? Please note most people will very easily go into a past life, but there are a few who block themselves. This may be due to fear, strong religious beliefs, or sometimes medication.
Q:What to Expect from your Past Life Regressions Session
A: On your first visit, we will discuss what you want to gain from past life regression, and I will take a few notes. It is very important for you to feel comfortable during the session. I will make sure you are in a calm state of mind using visualisation and relaxation techniques with only my voice. There are no swinging pendulums or anything else that you have been told about. You won’t fall asleep. You will be conscious at all times. The only difference is that you will feel relaxed enough to open the door to your unconscious mind. You will remain in complete control and will be aware of everything happening to you. It is a perfectly safe and natural state of mind, very much like daydreaming. You will be able to experience your past lives in your mind as if you were there when it actually happened. My purpose is to help people heal themselves and learn to enjoy their life experiences.
I am also a qualified Reiki master practitioner. I want you to know that it is not always necessary to discover our past lives in order to live better in the present. Not all our problems have a source in the past. Sometimes they arise from current life; and in these cases, I use various other healing methods.
Q:Who is the founder of Reiki?
A:Mikao Usui founded Reiki . This is his story
About Mikao Usui (August 1865 – March 1926)
Usui was fascinated by healing and devoted his life to discovering as much as he could about it, studying both on his own and also with many different groups. Having spent many years in research and meditation, he adopted the practice of the Lotus Repentance Meditation which incorporated a 21-day fasting meditation on Mount Kurama, a nearby mountain used for meditative retreats. On the morning of the 21st day of one of these facts, he had a satori, or enlightening experience, in which he gained the ability to heal others and pass this ability on to other people.
Legend attributes the following “four miracles” to his story. On the way back down the mountain, Usui stumbled and stubbed his toe causing it to bleed heavily. He instinctively grasped the painful toe in his hands and instantly felt a great heat there. When he looked, he found that his toe was healing very quickly. He continued on down the mountain and suddenly felt very hungry. He stopped at an inn and ate a full meal which is not easily done after a 21-day fast. After his meal, he noted that the girl who had been serving him had a severe toothache. Usui placed his hands over her jaw for a few minutes and the pain left. When he finally arrived back at the monastery, he found that the abbot was ill in bed with severe arthritis. Usui went to visit the abbot and was able to effect a cure by laying his hands on the afflicted.
Usui started to devote his time to healing others and teaching his discoveries. This teaching became known as the Usui Shiki Ryoho or the Usui system of Natural Healing. Due to a large number of people needing to be healed, Usui started to attune clients to the Reiki energy, primarily so they could administer themselves with the energy between visits. He also attuned others as part of their own spiritual development. Usui always felt that Reiki was primarily for spiritual development and that its healing properties were of secondary importance. During his lifetime, Usui taught over 2,000 students and 16 teachers.

Q. Your Web Site is running slow. Could it be something wrong with my computer?
A: If you do not occasionally “clean out” temporary internet files and other unnecessary files from your computer, your computer will eventually slow down, and our website will run slower. If you have a Windows PC or Laptop, you can download a free program called “CCleaner” at www.ccleaner.com.
